Data Protection

This post is also available in: English Français (French) Deutsch (German)

I added this because the blog uses
the Akismet plugin offered by WordPress to avoid comment spam
an access statistic from WordPress
Google Analytics.

The current data protection regulation requires some assurances that are actually taken for granted in my opinion. Because: whoever registers here leaves personal data behind. These are located on the Artfiles server in a very secure environment, and apart from a backup I do not save any data outside the server and do not pass them on. Registered users can request access to their stored data and, after logging out, complete deletion. If you hire me, additional agreements and a list of technical and organizational measures apply, which I will be happy to send you on request.

What happens to your data – privacy policy:
DANGER! If you do not agree to the data protection conditions set out below, you must leave this blog immediately!

Access data
Personal data is only collected to the extent that is technically necessary (name of the file accessed, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page) and the requesting provider ). We cannot assign this data to specific persons. stats

Comments on the blog
If you leave a comment on the blog, your IP address will be saved. This is done for our safety if someone writes illegal content in comments (insults, prohibited political propaganda, etc.). In this case, we could be prosecuted for the comment ourselves and are therefore interested in the identity of the author of the comment. However, these comment IP addresses will be deleted as soon as we have read the comments. This usually takes place within a few hours.

This blog also uses the Akismet plug-in from Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street # 343, San Francisco, CA 94110-4929, USA. With the help of this plugin, comments from real people are distinguished from spam comments. For this purpose, all comments are sent to a server in the USA, where they are analyzed and stored for four days for comparison purposes. If a comment has been classified as spam, it will be saved beyond this time. This information includes the name entered, the email address, the IP address, the comment content, the referrer and the time of the entry. You are welcome to use pseudonyms or do not need to enter your name or email address. You can completely prevent the transmission of the data by not using our comment system. That would be a shame, but unfortunately we don’t see any other alternatives that work just as effectively. You can object to the use of your data for the future at, subject “Deletion of Data stored by Akismet”, stating / describing the stored data.
